No, SprayLog will not run on Apple Mac computers. It will only run on Windows computers.
If you have a windows emulator on your Mac computer you could try to use that to run SprayLog on.

These instructions are for windows XP, but they should work for windows Vista as well.

1. Open the start menu (bottom left-hand corner of the screen)
2. Select All Programs, then HortResearch
3. Right click on the SprayLog icon
4. From the menu that pops up select Send To, then click on Desktop (create shortcut)

There is no need for you to save before closing the SprayLog as everything is automatically saved while you are using the software.

If you do wish to manually save your work, you can do so at any time by selecting from the top menu File, then Save.

You are not able to add new products or varieties in to the software yourself.
Before requesting the product or variety to be added, make sure you have the most up-to-date product and variety lists, to do this select from the top menu of SprayLog, Database, then Update.
NOTE: You will need to restart SprayLog to activate the update.

If the product or variety is still not in the list you will need to send an email to support@spraylog.co.nz outlining the new variety or product you wish to have added and as much detail as possible. We will then add this to the database and email you when it is done.

SprayLog works with XML files, these XML files hold all the information you enter using SprayLog. After installing the new seasons SprayLog, SprayLog needs to copy certain XML files from last seasons folder to the new seasons folder. Follow the instructions below:

1.	From the windows start menu, select 'Run' and type in the word 'explorer' (without the quotes) this will launch Windows Explorer.
2.	On the left hand column of Windows Explorer click on 'My Computer', then the (C:) drive, then last seasons SprayLog folder (eg. SprayLog 2007) once so that it is highlighted. A list of files should appear in the right hand column. (note: the path to where SprayLog is installed on your computer might be different to the example showen here.)
3.	Hold down the 'Ctrl' key on your keyboard and on the right hand column click once on each of the following files so that they are highlighted. Block.xml Growlist.xml Owner.xml
4.	From the menu at the top of the window click Edit, then Copy.
5.	In the left hand column, click on this seasons SprayLog folder (eg. SprayLog 2008) once so that it is highlighted, from the menu at the top of the window click Edit, then Paste.
6.	A screen will pop up asking you if you wish to overwrite the existing file. WARNING: If you have not followed these instructions correctly you may lose your diaries! Click Yes.

Next time you open this seasons SprayLog the block, owner and product list you just copied across should now be available

The best way to use SprayLog between seasons is to run a new copy of the software for each season. Each year a we release a new version of SprayLog with the year incorporated in the name (eg. SprayLog 2006).
Once the new version of the software is created, download and install it, then use it for the current seasons spray information.

You can still go back and see all of your old spray diary information from previous seasons by using the software from that seasons folder.
This means that rather than overwriting your data each season, you'll have each version of SprayLog installed a long side one another.

In SprayLog, from the top menu select Edit. You have 2 options Copy Current Block or Copy Selected Blocks. The first copies the current block you have selected, the other allows you to choose which blocks to copy.
This will copy the block and diary information to your clipboard, you can then paste the data into Excel or many other software applications.

To paste the data into Excel, open Excel and from the top menu select Edit, then Paste.

Spraylog uses your computers default email application (eg. Outlook, Thunderbird) to email your diary.
From the top menu of SprayLog select Send, then eMail Selected Blocks...
Select the blocks you wish to email and click the OK button.

A new email message should appear with the diary files attached.

Open your online email as you normaly would and create a new email message.
You will need to manually attach 3 files:

• c:/SprayLog 2008/block.xml
• c:/SprayLog 2008/diary.xml
• c:/SprayLog 2008/owner.xml
